Ethan Keller is a Washington, D.C. based actor with a lifelong love of singing, storytelling, and bringing joy to others.
He first caught the performance bug as an elementary schooler when he worked backstage for his school’s musical - and from that moment on, the stage became home. By age 14, Ethan had made his professional debut, and since then he has performed in countless educational, community, and professional productions. After taking a break to pursue other passions outside of theatre, Ethan has returned to the D.C. theatre scene with a renewed fire and gratitude for being back where he belongs.
A seasoned performer and multi-award–winning actor, Ethan has built a reputation for his ability to bring authenticity and nuance to every role. While primarily a musical theatre actor, he thrives on variety, from rock-infused contemporary shows to golden-age classics. For Ethan, no single role defines his artistry - instead, it’s his commitment to grounding every performance in truth and shaping each character with pieces of his own life experience.
Beyond the stage, Ethan embraces being a true “jack of many trades.” His training spans voice, piano, stage combat, puppetry, drag performance, theatrical design, and more - and he likes to joke that he’s “everyone’s favorite personality hire.” Offstage, you’ll likely find him crafting, plotting his next trip, or indulging in his not-so-guilty pleasure: Taco Bell. He’s also an event planner, leadership developer, and nonprofit advocate, committed to supporting his community. Most importantly, he’s a proud cat dad to Meatball... even though he sometimes drives him crazy.
At this stage in his career, Ethan is focused on projects that challenge and inspire him. Whether on a professional or community stage, he is most fulfilled when he is surrounded by supportive collaborators and given space to grow as an artist. For Ethan, it isn’t about chasing a particular spotlight - it’s about honoring the story, connecting with audiences, and finding joy in the craft.
